Following ACEIR’s country analyses of the redistribute impact of fiscal policy in Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa, the Ghana node partnered with Oxfam in Ghana on capacity building in this field of enquiry. ACEIR researchers facilitated a workshop for researchers and civil society representatives on the use of tools for measuring the distributional consequences of taxes and expenditures. The World Bank subsequently joined this partnership for training on a new microsimulation tool to evaluate the impact of social policies on inequality and poverty in Ghana.
