Professor Johs. Hjellbrekke

Johs. Hjellbrekke is Professor of Sociology at the University of Bergen, Norway. He is a specialist on social mobility, social class, elites, inequality and geometric data analysis (GDA). He led the Norwegian University Centre in Paris between 2016 – 2020 and is a member of the Norwegian National Committee for Research Ethics in the Social Sciences and the Humanities (2021 – 2025). In 2024, Prof. Hjellbrekke was elected member of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters.
