By drawing on comparable data from the demographic and health surveys, ACEIR researchers have studied spatial and national inequality in more than 24 sub-Saharan African countries. The analysis considered assets as well as access to basic services to measure individual economic status, which is a useful way of measuring the extent and patterns of multidimensional inequalities in SSA.
