Moisés Siúta is a PhD student in Economics at the School of Economics at the University of Cape Town. He holds a master’s degree in Economics from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London and an honours’ degree from the University Eduardo Mondlane in Mozambique. His research focus has been on social protection and poverty. His current PhD research is on financial inclusion and economic inequality in Mozambique. In addition to undertaking research, he also teaches undergraduate courses on economic development and research methods at the Faculty of Economics of University Eduardo Mondlane.
