A study by ACEIR researchers from the Kenya node at the Department of Economics and Social Development, University of Nairobi, the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS), and the Commitment to Equity Institute (CEQI).

The research evaluated the effects of the Kenyan government's fiscal policy to address inequality and poverty by using an analysis of welfare effects of fiscal measures based on an assessment method developed by the CEQI. A workshop on the analysis was hosted with the KNBS to present the findings to government officials and academics.

Following this collaboration, the Kenya node contributed to further CEQ analysis that extended to gender and children. This research was published by the KNBS in collaboration with the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis, the World Bank, the United Nations Children’s Fund, and ACEIR.
