The Agence Française de Développement is hosting this webinar to release the publication Inequalities in Sub-Saharan Africa: Multidimensional Perspectives and Future Challenges. It is the latest title in the Africa Development Forum series, which is jointly published by the AFD and the World Bank Group.

This report examines the deep-rooted and complex inequalities that are impacting income, education, healthcare, and climate resilience across the African continent.

Researchers and practitioners from the AFD, the World Bank, the African Centre of Excellence for Inequality Research (ACEIR), and Oxfam will participate in the webinar.

While published in English, a summary of the book will be available in Kiswahili and isiXhosa.

The book was edited by Anda David (AFD), Murray Leibbrandt (ACEIR, University of Cape Town), Vimal Ranchhod (ACEIR, University of Cape Town), and Rawane Yasser (AFD). Contributors to the 11 chapters include 14 researchers from ACEIR’s three country nodes, and five ACEIR affiliates.
