Peris Wachira is a PhD student at the School of Economics, University of Cape Town. Her research examines how data quality influences the measurement of labour market outcomes, inequality, and poverty dynamics in developing countries. She is particularly interested in addressing measurement issues in household surveys, including issues such as changes in data collection instruments, unit non-response, zero earnings, bracket response, attrition, and the under or over-sampling of specific population groups.
