Launch of the Inequality Trends and Diagnostics in Kenya, 2020
The Inequality Trends and Diagnostics in Kenya, 2020, was published jointly by the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) and ACEIR at the University of Nairobi with support from the Agence Française de Développement and the European Union. It presents a comprehensive analysis of multidimensional inequality in Kenya over the period 1994 to 2016, using nationally representative survey data collected and released by the KNBS.
The launch keynote was delivered by the Chief Administrative Secretary: The National Treasury and Planning, Hon. Eric Simiyu Wafukho. Input was also made by the Principal Secretary: State Department for Planning, National Treasury and Planning; the Director-General of the KNBS; and representatives from ACEIR, the Agence Française de Développement; the European Union; and the School of Economics, University of Nairobi.
